Learning factory
Abstract
The paradigms of manufacturing are changing. The new aims are high adding value, competition, sustainability an innovation. The author proposes digital tools and methods to support the learning processes from experiment-based to knowledge-based manufacturing. This includes the ability of machines to learn from the past and also from the future through multi-scaled simulation. The author finishes with an overview of current projects that are based on this new paradigm of a learning factory.
