Titel
Anticipatory change planning of intralogistics systems as a contribution to the changeability of production systems
Abstract
Permanent changes in market dynamics require a wide variety of production concepts as well as flexibly changeable production systems. Besides, the management aims to avoid every kind of waste and for a continuous optimization of the systems. Companies have to react in an adequate way to these dynamics and have to change their production and logistics processes in order to adjust them properly. A new method for supporting changeability is the utilization-based simulation for Anticipatory Change Planning (ACP) of intralogistics systems1. The ACP of intralogistics systems is an appropriate simulation-based method, which ensures reliable, effective and efficient operations of these systems in a permanently changing and dynamic business environment. The ACP of intralogistics systems is a first step to harmonize the requirements of logistics and to support the changeability of production systems. This paper presents a theoretical study concerning the ACP of an intralogistics system and its contribution to the changeability of a production system.
