Abstract
A procedure is proposed for adjusting a nonlinear mathematical model to experimental values. The starting point is the individual registration of the first three harmonics as a function of frequency to different amplitudes of sinusoidal input signals. The comprehensive material is described by a model combining a simple structure with a scheme for adapting this structure to the measurements. The socalled WienerHammerstein structure which has been used consists of three parts in series: a memoryless nonlinearity preceded and followed by a linear, timeinvariant subsystem. The characteristic dependency of distortions in electroacoustical equipment on amplitude makes it possible to synthesize the nonlinearity as a polynomial as well as to identify the amplitude response of the linear parts.
