Titel
Multi-channel optical carrier frequency technique
Abstract
The authors describe the architecture of multichannel transmitters and tunable selective heterodyne receivers as well as the multichannel network characteristics containing single-mode waveguides and branching elements. The scenario RDPS-3 of the RACE Definition Phase Project 1032 is quoted as an illustration of the application of optical carrier frequency techniques to public communication networks. A detailed description of experiments with a laboratory ten-channel distribution system carried out at the Heinrich-Hertz-Institut is presented.
