Titel
Multi-service terminals: main features and approaches to use
Abstract
The authors examine simple, parallel and integrated use as the main features of multi-service terminals for ISDN, B-ISDN and IBFN and how these features influence the network. They conclude that completely new user systems need developing that take account of these features and influences, and they discuss three approaches to designing such a system, i.e. approaches directed at resource, service or intention. They compare these three approaches in terms of user knowledge and needs, terminal intelligence, and flexible use of resources.
