Computergestütztes Gruppenlernen (CSCL) am Beispiel von Multiplayerspielen
Abstract
Computergestütztes lernen gewinnt im Bereich der Pädagogik zunehmend an Bedeutung. Um den Anforderungen der lernenden des neuen Jahrtausends gerecht zu werden, gilt es innovative Bildungskontexte zu erforschen und zu erschaffen. Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich grundlegend mit CSCL (Computergestütztes kooperatives Lernen) aus Sicht der Pädagogik und stellt die Eckpunkte dieser Lernform vor. Darauf aufbauend wird die Idee einer Verbindung von CSCL und dem sehr einflussreichen Computerspiel-Genre der MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) untersucht. Es werden zunächst Bildungspotenziale von MMORPGs aufgezeigt und eine Feldstudie bietet einen Einblick in die Gruppenprozesse, die in solchen Spielen stattfinden. Abschließend werden Ressourcen, Chancen und Grenzen der Nutzung von MMORPGs für CSCL und als Bildungskontexte diskutiert.

In education computer-supported learning increasingly gains in importance. To meet the requirements of the new millennium learners, it is necessary to explore and create innovative contexts of education. This diploma thesis deals with the basics of CSCL (Computer-supported cooperative learning) with an educational view. Constitutive on it, the idea of connecting CSCL and the very successful genre of computer games - MMORPGs (Massively multiplayer role playing games), is examined. Initially education potentials are disclosed and a field study gives an insight into group processes in such games. As a conclusion capabilities, prospects and constraints of using MMORPGs in CSCL and educational contexts are discussed.
