Titel
Towards a simulation of temperature induced blood clotting in hepatic RF ablation
Abstract
We present a model for blood clotting, induced by high temperatures. The model is based on a Lattice-Boltzmann discretization of the blood flow, together with a finite-difference scheme for the temperature and the coagulation, the latter given by an Arrhenius law. We discuss the use of our model together with a numerical simulation of radiofrequency (RF) ablation.
