Titel
Wavelength and polarisation independent all optical synchronisation of high frequency DFB type self-pulsations
Abstract
Wavelength and polarisation independent synchronisation of DFB type self-pulsations is demonstrated for the first time. Newly developed DFB lasers with an integrated phase tuning section are applied. Power levels in the mW range are sufficient to achieve a good synchronisation function by optical signals injected within the gain spectrum of the laser. All optical clock recovery from PRES data is demonstrated at 10 Gbit/s.
