Titel
Characterization of an all-optical clock recovery operating in excess of 40 Gbit/s
Abstract
The optical synchronization properties of a tunable mode-locked semiconductor laser are investigated. The phase stability was tested in a 100 km transmission experiment with a free running laser as transmitter laser. The investigations on the phase stability reveal the potential of the clock recovery to operate at much higher bit rates than the demonstrated 40 Gbit/s.
