Abstract
Multipath fading in digital radio systems can be a major source of outage. In Foschini and Salz (1983) a statistical model of fading useful for estimating its effects on specific systems was investigated. It was also used for indicating possible methods of correction. We use a first-order polynomial as a model for the fading channel.
