Titel
Stereoscopic output and novel interaction concepts for the IAVAS I3D player
Abstract
The IAVAS I3D Player is a terminal for object-based interactive audiovisual scenes. It features an advanced audio rendering engine allowing for a realistic reproduction of the aural parts of a scene. At the same time, a graphics engine is able to render two-dimensional and three-dimensional scene objects. In this paper we present the addition of stereoscopic and autostereoscopic graphics output capabilities to the player as well as support for contemporary interaction devices. Combined with the audio rendering engine, these new features greatly enhance the realism and the level of immersion achievable.
