Abstract
(A1) Die Erfindung betrifft eine transparente Kunststofffolie zum Abschirmen elektromagnetischer Wellen, umfassend ein transparentes Foliensubstrat und ein Schichtsystem, welches mindestens eine Silber-Schicht aufweist, sowie ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer solchen Kunststofffolie, wobei die Silber-Schicht zwischen zwei Nioboxid-Schichten eingebettet wird.

The two niobium oxide coatings consist of two sublayers (14, 15), where the side of a sublayer turned towards the silver layer is non-stoichiometrically formed and the side of a sublayer turned towards the silver layer is stoichiometrically formed. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The transparent plastic film for shielding electromagnetic waves, comprises a transparent film substrate (12) and a layer system, which comprises a silver layer (16) embedded between two niobium oxide coatings (13), which are non-stoichiometrically formed on the side turned towards or away from the silver layer. The two niobium oxide coatings consist of two sublayers (14, 15), where the side of a sublayer turned towards the silver layer is non-stoichiometrically formed and the side of a sublayer turned towards the silver layer is stoichiometrically formed. The stoichiometric area of the niobium oxide coating or -sublayer is formed as niobium pentoxide. The two niobium oxide coatings have gradients in such a manner that a transition is continuously or gradually formed from the non-stoichiometric layer region to the stoichiometric layer region. The silver layer has a thickness of 8-15 nm. The niobium oxide coating or sublayer has a thickness of 2-3 nm. The two niobium oxide coatings have a thickness of 30-50 nm. The silver layer and the niobium oxide coatings are deposited by sputtering. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for manufacturing a transparent plastic film suitable for shielding electromagnetic waves. USE - The transparent plastic film for shielding electromagnetic waves from sources such as portable radio, satellite television, microwave or radar technology. ADVANTAGE - The transparent plastic film has a long-term-stable high transparency in the entire visible spectral region and has a layer system with high adhesive strength.
