Abstract
Ein faserverstaerkter Werkstoff auf der Basis eines duroplastishen Polymers oder eines Polymer-Blends mit einem solchen Polymer zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das Polymer ein Polykondensat von Mono-, Di- und/oder Oligomeren aus der Gruppe Furfurylalkohol, Coniferylalkohol, Sinapylalkohol, Hydroxypropylphenol, Linolensaeure und deren Derivate ist der Werkstoff natuerliche Verstaerkungsfasern enthaelt. Durch den Einsatz von Naturfasern werden die zur Herstellung synthetischer Fasern verwendeten Rohstoffe durch nachwachsende und biologisch abbaubare Rohrstoffe ersetzt, vor allem aber das hohe Wasseraufnahmevermoegen natuerlicher Fasern zur Absorption des bei der Polykondensation der insbesondere aus natuerlichen Rohstoffen gewonnenen Mono-, Di- und/oder Oligomere zu dem jeweiligen Harz freigesetzten Wassers genutzt. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner Verfahren zur Herstellung eines solchen Werkstoffs sowie seine Verwendung.

 

DE 10132749 A UPAB: 20030513 NOVELTY - A novel fiber reinforcing material based on a duroplastic polymer obtained by polycondensation or from polymer blends containing at least one such polymer, where the polymer is a polycondensate of mono, di-, and/or oligomers from furfuryl alcohol, coniferyl alcohol, sinapyl (sic) alcohol, hydroxypropylphenol, linolenic acid and/or their derivatives, and also natural fiber reinforcing material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a process for preparation of a shaped part from a fiber-reinforced material based on a duroplastic polymer or polymer blend as above, where the mono-di- or oligomers are from the group furfuryl alcohol etc. as above mixed with natural strengthening fibers, with addition of at least one acid catalyst, and the mixture obtained is added to the shaped part in the mold, and cured; and (2) a process for preparation of a shaped part from a fiber-reinforced material based on a duroplastic polymer of polymer blend as above,where the mono-di- or oligomer are from the group furfuryl alcohol etc. as above mixed with natural strengthening fibers, at least one acid catalyst is added, and the mixture is transferred to an injection molding mold and the shaped part is cured. USE - The material is useful for automobile internal linings and external parts, for the structural elements of sections, frames, and pipelines, for fiber strengthened masonry, for furniture, and for sports equipment (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The natural fibers used in the material give the material increased tensile strength and breaking strength, and higher wear resistance compared with material containing synthetic fibers.
