Coded speckle-interferometric formtesting
Abstract
In Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) the introduction of so-called translation and multiple-wavelength-techniques enables the user to obtain 3D-topography data within a short time. Wheras smooth surface may be measured using conventional approaches, the investigation of shapes with discontinuities requires more advanced techniques. Various methods have been examined at the Fraunhofer IPT. The results demonstrate that a wide variety of shapes, particularly those with essential discontinuities can be measured with high resolution by transfering the concept of Coded Light Sectioning to ESPI-techniqes. This paper describes new approaches of Coded ESPI Formtesting and presents various examples of current applications. Especially new developments concerning multiple-wavelength-techniques with widely tunable laser sources are introduced.
