Braucht die Informatik mehr Theorie?

Computer Science as a young engineering discipline has not yet got enough basic theoretical knowledge for standing on a solid ground comparable to that electrical engineering stands on. There is still missing a methodological link between Computer Science and Physics. This link is argued to be a "physics of language and organization". More theoretical investigation into the connections between CS and physics will help to eventually overcome the long lasting "software crisis".
