Bestimmung von Merkmalen des Akzentes Französisch sprechender Deutscher
Abstract
The following article describes a tentative to extract factors of the german accent in french. Two series or french words pronounced by german and french people were recorded, analysed and compared. The comparison was technical as well as auditory. In the first part the signal processing methods to visualize differences in the way of pronouncing by the two speakers groups are presented. In addition perceptual analyses were performed in order to define the auditive relevancy of physically measured factors. The second part summarizes the most important results acquired about the german accent in french. General factors as well as problematic phonemes are there discussed. The last two parts are devoted to the limits and the possible applications of the study (speech or speaker recognition, "computer aided" language learning).
