Abstract
Frequency response analysis (impedimetry) serves for investigation of transport processes, relaxation phenomena and structure behaviour of electrical bilayers in closed (electrochemical) and open (bioelectrochemical) systems. Furthermore, it may also be used to examine electrostatic and electrodynamic interactions with apparently non-comparable phase boundaries (electrodes, membranes): crystallization processes in technical and biological systems (human, animal, plant), vitality and toxicity tests on cell tissue. Examples are: - spherulitic nucleation of polycrystals (multiple twinning) from organic solutions, - discrimination of human urine for stone-forming liability, - plant vitality (conifer needles).
