Korrosionsuntersuchungen an keramischen Verbundwerkstoffen in silikatischen und metallischen Schmelzen nach der Methode des liegenden Tropfens und dem Eintauchverfahren
Abstract
The goal of the work was the investigation of the corrosion behaviour of different monolithic ceramics such as Si3N4, AlN, BN, SiC, Al2O3, 2MgO2Al2O35SiO2 and composites on the basis of Si3N4/BN/AlN, SiAlON/Al2O3 and Al2O3/Cr2O3/ZrO2/SiO2 in contact with silicate slags or metal melts by using the sessile drop method and the finger-test. The wetting behaviour has been characterised by measuring the contact angle in relation to temperature and time and the corrosion behaviour was analysed by investigating the interface reactions by means of SEM and EDAX. It was found a good correlation between the phase content and the interface reactions with slags or melts. It could be shown that the sessile drop method in connection with thermodynamical calculations and the finger-test is suitable to forecast the corrosion behaviour.
