Dynamics of science-based innovation
Abstract
The transfer of the latest scientific results to commercial innovation has become a crucial factor in today's markets. This implies that the competitiveness in modern technologies of the manufacturing industry involves its mutual dependence with the largely publicly financed science institutions. Based on advanced methodologies (patent analysis, biliometrics, cluster analysis, cognitive cartography), eleven authors from various European countries and Japan give a number of conclusions and recommendations both for (public) science and innovation and industrial technology management.
