Wirtschaftsnahe Forschung in den neuen Bundesländern - Situation, Perspektiven, Handlungsbedarf

The article is devoted to industrially oriented research and innovation-oriented services in East Germany; it provides an overview of the reduction of industrially oriented and industrial research from 1990 until 1993, of the transitional difficulties of industrially oriented research organisations, of R&D promotion in the new federal states, and of ways to modernize the infrastructure of industrially oriented research in the coming years.
