Abstract
A process is presented for influencing a vacuum in a gas-tight vessel, in particular in a glass flask containing functional parts which are provided with supply lines passing through the vessel wall, where the functional parts are heated during evacuation and as a result of which substances given off by the functional parts contaminating the vacuum are extracted. In order to enhance the vacuum, the functional parts are heated by laser radiation during evacuation.
