Abstract
NOVELTY - The method involves conducting an energy input by a focused laser beam at and/or in a transparent workpiece for a laser. Two or more laser pulses in quick succession are implemented. A mode-synchronized and Q-switched rigid body laser is used. A spacing is adjusted between at least two pulses and the pulses follow one another at least at a spacing where the changes of the optical property of the previous pulse are effective with the following pulse. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A programmable 2D or 3D relative movement is implemented between the laser beam and the workpiece, synchronized between the course of movement and the laser pulses. USE - For changing optical property at surface and/or inside workpiece using laser. ADVANTAGE - The optical property changes are implemented in a comparatively large depth and with a high pulse frequency.
