Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the production of rod lenses, in particular microrod lenses, for laser devices, and for a reshaping device for said lenses, whereby a glass rod is pressed continuously, at least partially, in the shaped contour of a rotating upper and/or lower tool in heated condition permitting relative movement between the glass rod and an upper and/or lower tool having a shaped contour about its outer circumference. The upper and/or lower tool is thereby rolled over the glass rod. The invention also relates to a process for the production of a reshaping device for the production of rod lens blocks for the production of rod lenses, in particular microrod lenses for laser devices, whereby the shape contour is turned into a surface of the rotation-symmetrical upper or lower tool by means of a precision lathe.
