Title
Verfahren und Messanordnung zur Erfassung der Partikelemission einer diffusen Quelle
Other Title
Particle emission detection of diffuse source - involves recording light intensity during particle emission in space and time and determining time course of concentration index from light intensity.
Abstract
NOVELTY - The diffuse source is arranged between a background and a detection arrangement. The light intensity during the particle emission of the diffuse source are recorded in spatial and temporal resolution, and a temporal course of the concentration index of the particle emission is determined from the data of the measured light intensity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The method includes the steps of providing an illuminated background on one side of a measuring arrangement and a detection arrangement on the opposite side, with an observation direction in the direction of the background, whereby the detection arrangement is designed in such way, that it can measure a light intensity incident at a pre-settable spatial angle in a plane vertical to the observation direction with a spatial and temporal resolution. A CCD camera is preferably used as the detection arrangement. USE - Especially for measurement of dust emission during transport, storage, and processing of granular material. ADVA NTAGE - Provides simple, fast, and precise measurement which can be applied both in laboratory and in field conditions.
