Abstract
The concept for the EC project ICICM - Innovative Computer-Aided Interpretation of Cadastral Maps - and the initial results are here presented. The goal of the project is the creation of a prototype system for the automated digilization of scanned cadastra maps. The automatic extraction of essential information from the raster data of the scanned cadastral maps and the evaluation of aerial photography are the most important components of the system.
