Abstract
We measured the reactive uptake of NOCl on water and on solutions of NaCl, HCl and NaOH with a wetted-wall flowtube technique. The observed uptake coefficient is close to the upper detection limit of the technique. A reversible reaction kinetics was not observed. The hydrolysis on water and on NaCl and HCl solution leads to the release of gas-phase HONO.
