Abstract
In areas exposed to ionizing radiation, telerobotic systems are employed. These robots must be able to withstand radiation of up to 3000 kGy. In order to make robot systems mobile, part of the electronics must be installed on board of these systems. The MF4 manipulator vehicle has been examined with respect to its sensitivity to ionizing radiation. The service life of the vehicle has been extended considerably as a result of analyses of its individual components. A proposal is made in order to increase the tolerable radiation levels and the duration of missions.
