Titel
Ultraschall-Rohr-Endoskopie mit dem ARGUS-Gruppenstrahler-Gerät
Abstract
In the scope of the Reactor Safety Programme of the German Federal Ministry for Research and Developement, an ultrasonic endoscope for steam generator tube inspection es developed. The system es based upon the IzfP phased array equipment ARGUS. The ultrasonic probe - a circular array - consists of about 100 elements arranged circumferentially along the surface of a cylindrical backing. The sound field structure (focus depth, angle of incidence, main lobe/side lobe - ratio) is generated by subgroups of 6 to 20 adjacent elements. With the aid of a multeplexer the subgroup runs around the probe, so that a 360-scan is performed. The probe is moved through the tube by means of manipulator. To meet the demanded probe specitication with regard to center frequency (up to 10 MHz), bond widten (up to 80%) and dimensions, a piezoelectric composite material with low acoustic impedance and low cross coupling is developed.
