Tendencies and needs for international co-operation

To cope with uprising problems, manufacturing research will need to further explore: topics such as product, resource, process and human-oriented manufacturing. Research efforts have to transcend traditional boundaries to enable companies to understand, accept and react to the dynamic changes expected in the future. IMS has the potential to serve as a frame in these activities.
