Abstract
A temperature sensor (40) has electrically conducting conductors (21) in a measurement window (20) applied in meander form on an electrically insulating substrate (32) having low radiation absorption and applied by means of thin film technology, said measurement window (20) having end points (16, 17) connected to a measuring element circuit. The total surface area of the conductors (21) in the projection on the plane of the substrate (32) is less than 20% of the area covering the measurement window (20) such that the conductors (21) are capable of emitting received radiation without interference to other conductors (21). Either the sum of the surface area of the measurement window (20) and the surface area of of the substrate (32) surrounding the measurement window (20) has a surface area ratio of greater than 4 to 1 to the surface area of the etched surface area (23) surrounding the substrate in the measurement window area (22) or the substrate (32) is etched away (36) under the condu ctors (21) in the measurement window (20). Then, the cross-sectional area of the reverse loops (34) of the conductors (21) lying on the substrate (32) is greater than the cross-sectional area of the conductors (21) such that a resistance influence due to the temperature of the substrate (32) on the conductors (21) can be effectively prevented. With the temperature sensor (40), temperature measurements can be made in the range between -70<degrees Celsius> and +50<degrees Celsius>Celsius at normal pressure up to a pressure of several millibars and direct solar radiation. By means of a ...
