Technological planning systems for the future

The development of technological planning systems is influenced by different system concepts. Future planning systems will combine the advantages of dialog oriented, geometry oriented and knowledge based approaches. The increasing requirements of efficiency and flexibility lead to new system concepts, which make use of generic system components and customer specific experience. To build dedicated systems a configuration of system components and adaption of these system components to the customer requirements is necessary. To reduce the expenditure of developing dedicated systems, a system structure that allows the generation of dedicated systems has to be defined.
