The combustion behavior of energetic materials was investigated by non-intrusive flame diagnostics using a new developed multicolor-pyrometer system with microspectrometer. The method allows temp. detn. in processes where the emitted radiation is influenced by metal lines or other non-blackbody-emitter. Spectra ranging from 0.2-20 .mu.m were calcd. and compared to exptl. data. The anal. of combustion end products allows the investigation of colder flame regions. The methods are evaluated by examples of energetic material combustion.
