Title
Social science research on informatization in public administration - the German experience
Abstract
The modernization of public administration is no longer primarily a question of the efficient allocation of classical bureaucratic means. Today nearly all administrative activities are also somehow concerned with the logic of computer science. That is why we call this ongoing change the informatization of public administration. Experts agree that increasing informatization in the public sector influences both the societal functions and services of the administration, and that working conditions within administrative organizations will be altered. A vaste field for social science studies has been created here.
