Smart silicon system for a multi sensor catheter
Abstract
A data acquisition system for intravascular measurement of blood parameters is presented. The system consists of a set of silicon chips that can be embedded into a catheter of 2 mm in diameter. It can process the signals of a large number of sensors including on-chip signal conditioning, amplification and A/D conversion. CMOS techniques for sensor fabrication allow a monolithic realization.
