Title
Service Support by Telecommunication for Manufacturing Systems
Abstract
The latest improvements in the telecommunication infrastructure, not least by the Internet, are increasingly stimulating attempts towards teleservice applications in industrial production. Having remote access to a machine control is an important precondition for receiving current control and sensor data from the machine. Also in the reserve case, if a machine is to be controlled via remote access, it is important to get a sensor feedback, e.g., by means of moved pictures. Furthermore, the machine operator on site can be supported via teleservice, e.g., by improving the spare-parts management.
