Title

Segmentation of Dynamic Cardiac Images

Abstract
For the diagnosis of heart diseases temporal series of volumetric (EBT, MRI, 3D-US) images are acquired. The evaluation of the large amount of image data can be simplified by computer support, which simultaneously enables more precise and objective measurement of several medical indicators (ventricle volume, ejection fraction, wall motion, etc.). One of the basic steps for the modeling of ventricles is the segmentation. This paper introduces active contour model (ACM) based approaches to image segmentation.
