Title

Properties of a soft and long-term-stable glass ceramic sealing for solid oxide fuel cells

Abstract
Mechanical and electrical properties of a glass ceramic were determined which was developed as a soft and long-term stable sealing for solid oxide fuel cells. It is based on yttria stabilized zirconia and LaCrO3. Flexural strength was measured in a four-point bending test, creep behaviour by a specific compression-shear set-up and DC resistivity by a four probe method. Temperatures ranged up to 1150 deg.
