Abstract
The influence of a different confinement on the burning gases of nitramine propellants was measured. It was found that the energetic binder system (GAP) produces a less amount of toxic gases when reacting under unconfined conditions. Detonation experiments conducted under a different prepressure of argon using less sensitive high explosives have shown that the reaction products under a pressure of one bar argon were significantly different from the detonation in vacuum.
