Abstract
In the framework of the CEC funded Concerted Action the performance of the power conditioning system of photovoltaic power plants, in particular of stand alone systems is scrutinized. Based on actual plant experience areas are to be identified where significant research and development work should be directed to in order to improve overall plant efficiency both of the present European pilot plants as well as to formulate guidelines for future plant design and plant operation.
