Polymer-Beschichtung von metallischen Nanopartikeln durch eine Kombination von Inertgas-Kondensation und Plasma Polymerisation
Abstract
The formation of shell structures consisting of a nanocrystalline metal core and a thin polymer coating is shown to be feasible by means of a two step process: Silver nanoparticles were prepared by inert gas condensation in argon and fed into a microwave downstream reactor by forced gas flow. In this reactor, hexamethyldisiloxane was added to the gas and dissociated in a microwave plasma to form a thin polymer shell around the silver nanoparticles. The chemical structure of the polymer films has been studied by infrared spectroscopy. A set of experimental parameters was determined that enabled us to condense silver nanoparticles and to deposit a carbon rich polymer film.
