The characteristics of technical equipment are mostly complex and nonlinear. This behaviour can be sufficiently represented by the fuzzy classification method. A transputer-based application system has been developed thus meeting especially demands being critical in time. Large data stocks can be processed within short periods of time. Processes regulated in real-time mode. Enabled by the open concept of transputer techniques it is possible to tailor computation speed, process links and user interface precisely to the process requirements. Fuzzy-based stand-alone solutions can be generated by means of this system concept. These solutions are characterized by high computation power and an ease of maintenance.
