Abstract
A systematic study of the crack tip loading history is presented for impacted three-point-bend specimens. A quasistatic analysis is performed for a simplified mathematical model and the dynamic effects are quantified by model experiments. Based on this approach a procedure is developed which easily allows the prediction of the dynamic stress intensity factor history for arbitrary test conditions. (IWM)
