Neuartige Bauweisen für Gelenkarmroboter
Abstract
In production engineering, use is made of robots in order to ensure that the product quality can be maintained at a high level, the cycle times shortened and, as a result, the costs kept down. The use of robots also makes sense in working environments that present any type of health hazard. Conventional jointed-arm robots are characterised by traditional designs which use metal. The aim of the work presented is to improve the specific characteristic values of jointed-arm robots by employing a lightweight structure that uses fibre composite plastics. By achieving an optimum design of the arms and joints in terms of the force path, and making use of the latest drive technologies, it proved possible to offer kinematics that are superior to those of conventional systems in terms of mobility, service angle and the outlay on structural material.
