Title

Multirepresentation-based geometrical modeler

Abstract
Modern applications associated with manufacturing can be handled better if multirepresentation based geometrical modelers are used. The integration of several representation schemes has been the aim of a joint project carried out simultaneously in Berlin (IWF) and Haifa (Technion). A geometrical modeler which supports Constructive Solid Geometry, Boundary representation, Octree encoding and Switching Function based representation has been developed. The Compac (Boundary rep) has been selected as the host for the system. An improved input based on CSG has been added. The paper is concerned with the structure of the integrated system and the conversion from one representation method to the another.
