Title

Modeling in hardware description languages for the simulation of coupled fluidic, thermal and electrical effects

Abstract
The basic achievement of this paper is to reduce the physical modeling of coupled fluidic, thermal and electrical effects to the dissection of the geometry under consideration into basic regions. Thus modeling can be performed by composing object oriented hardware description language (HDL)-implemented region models in a schematic editor, which leads to a very fast approach for the design of new models. Furthermore, the optimization and refinement of existing models can be carried out through the addition or shifting of only a few region models. To illustrate the usefulness of this method the simulation results of a thermal flow sensor are presented.
