Title

Management of complex projects as cooperative task

Abstract
This paper describes an approach for management of R&D projects, which have to be alligned with the properties of complex systems. Characteristic is the introduction of a team-organization, deriving its structure from the product to be developed and a planning methodology, which takes into account the inherent lack of knowledge about the system. Hence a new generation of a project management system, which supports this approach, and is able to plan and control decentrally, as well as to handle inconsistent information, that is being developed. The whole system has been integrated into a CSCW environment in order to support the informal processes, required to effectivIy link decentrally operating teams.
