Title
A kicking step-by-step drive for precision engineering
Abstract
The electromechanical striking mechanism is based on the following principle: 1. Immobilization of the component to be adjusted with a defined and final prestressing force. 2. Transmission of mechanical impulses generated by the striking mechanism to the component. 3. Generation of step-by-step adjusting movements in the form of fine angular or linear motions with the use of the stick-slip effect. After the adjustment process, the striking mechanism can be removed from the site. One further advantage to this method is that the adjustment does not need to be ensure by subsequent repair. This is because the component and the striking mechanism are not coupled with elements that might transfer vibrations. It is an important fact that the otherwise detrimental stick-slip effect of mechanics is used positively.
