Innenballistische Beschreibung eines mit Flüssigkeit angetriebenen Regenerativsystems mit Hilfe eines gasdynamischen Rechenmodells
Abstract
Due to the complex structure of regenerative liquid propellant guns, mathematical models can be very helpful to find out important parameters and to study their influence on the system performance. This paper will deal with such a model which is mainly based on the gasdynamic equations for an axisymmetric two-phase flow. These equations describe the flow and the combustion processes inside of the combustion chamber between the piston and the base of the projectile. This allows a spatial resolution of the flow pattern in radial as well as in axial direction. The liquid propellant reservoir, however, is assumed to be a spatially constant but time-dependent state region. All essential physical and mathematical features of the model will be presented and discussed. Numerical results will qualitatively show the performance of such a regenerative propulsion system including the dynamics of the piston and of the fuel injection. (-z-)
