Integration of CAPP and PPC - The PPC part

The paper introduces concepts for the integration of Computer Automated Process Planning (CAPP) and Production Planning & Control (PPC). Logics, benefits and scenarios of functional integration are discussed. Methods and techniques for the implementation of an integration are highlighted. Based on a general assembly process model, various planning aspects of PPC such as lot-sizing, scheduling and bottleneck management are finally shown.
