Abstract
A highpass filter for separating a high ac voltage in its bandwidth from a dc voltage of variable amplitude has a filter capacitor (12) which receives an input signal. The output (14) of the filter capacitor is connected to ground (18) via a resistor (16). The output (14) is connected via an inverting broadband amplifier (20) to the input of a diode circuit (28) in which four diodes (30, 31, 32, 33) are switched in series in the circuit. Each cathode (35) of a diode (30, 31, 32, 33) is connected to the anode (35) of the corresponding adjacent diode (33, 30, 31 and 32). Between the input (26) of the diode circuit (28) and its output (38) are two antiparallel switched diodes (30, 31, and 32, 33). The connecting line between these diodes (30, 31 and 32, 33) of the diode circuit (28) is connected via a smoothing capacitor (44 and 42) each time to ground (18) and the output (38) of the diode circuit (28) is fed back to the output (14) of the filter capacitor (12). The highpass filter can em it a measuring signal in the range from 10 millihertz to 2 megahertz of a direct voltage content at least 10 times slower in frequency.
